Then, before you know it ANOTHER week has gone by and you haven’t gone to yoga. It’s ok, it happens to the best of us and it has definitely happened to me! Getting Started:

It’s really easy to get started! Simply fill out the contact form above and I will set up a GoogleMeet call with you to discuss what you’re hoping to get out of these sessions and if we are the right fit for each other. After you have paid and we have agreed upon a time for your sessions, your spot is secured as one of my private clients! This step is super important because, in order to give the best service, I can only take on a certain number of clients at once. So, please register now if this is of interest to you.

After you have registered, I will send you an email with your welcome package. This includes an outline of the goals we will work towards together, a welcome letter from me, some resources I think you’ll enjoy in the meantime and a special bonus that only members receive! If, for some reason, you did not get your welcome package when you signed up, please email me at kaylaeliseyoga@gmail.com and I will get it to ya!

What do I need?

Woo! Prepare your personal yoga space. Here’s what you’ll need:

    • Yoga mat – Don’t have one? I’ve got you! You can rent one from me for $2. Just email me ahead of time at kaylaeliseyoga@gmail.com so I can ensure there are enough mats for everyone.
    • Water – It’s super important to stay hydrated so don’t forget to fill up your reusable water bottle.
    • Comfy Clothes – Wear clothes that you can move and stretch in.
  • I can bring any props that we will need for the practice, but that’s great if you have your own that you want to use!

How should I prepare?

Here are some tips for preparing for class:

  • Eat light – You’ll need energy for these sessions but please avoid having a full stomach…that usually doesn’t end pretty.
  • Be hydrated – Drink plenty of water and be sure to have some on hand during the session.
  • Prepare your personal yoga space in your home – It is important to have a designated space where you practice yoga that is free of clutter and distractions so you can easily calm your mind when you practice.

What are the benefits?

Oh my goodness, yoga has so many benefits, and they will be amplified in private sessions since we will be personalizing the classes for you!! Here are a few of my top favourites:

  • Greater Strength – Yep that’s right, yoga is much more than just stretching! We can enhance your strength and stability as well.
  • Enhanced Flexibility – But yes, of course there will be tons of stretching too. It is a yoga class after all 😉
  • Stress Reduction & Better Focus – Yoga perfectly combines breathing techniques and movement to help your stress levels go down and your mental clarity go up. Plus, you can request I use essential oils on you, include reiki in our session, and create meditations for you if those are of interest to you.
  • Injury Recovery – Yoga is a very gentle and therapeutic form of movement. If you are recovering from an injury we can discuss how these sessions can compliment your other healing modalities, and help you feel better quicker!

What type of yoga will we practice?

I am a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher, trained in Level 1 Yoga Therapy, prenatal and postnatal yoga instructor, and restorative and yin yoga instructor. The great thing about a private session is you can choose what we do with each class – the pace, focus, postures and you can stop the class at any point to change it up! You let me know what kind of class you want and I’ll make it 🙂

What is the etiquette for a private session?

I am here to support you and help you grow! However, yoga only works if you do. So, in order for me to help you grow, you need to be committed. So, I kindly ask you to please follow these requests:

  • Turn off your cellphone. The least amount of distractions the better! I understand if you have a critical situation which requires you to have your phone on at all times, but generally I recommend not even having it in the room so your not tempted to check it.
  • Focus on your body’s needs and tell me. Everyone is on their own yogic path, and it looks different to everyone. So, if there is anything that is hurting or doesn’t feel right during practice please tell me so I know to work with you in a more modified way. I don’t want you to get injured at all so please speak up if anything doesn’t feel right! Always honour what your body says and don’t push it.
  • Be open and honest. These classes are for YOU so if your don’t like what we are doing, tell me! I will change the style or postures to what you want, no problem! I’d rather you were honest with me 🙂

I’m new to yoga. Is this right for me?

Of course! If anything, this is better for newbies because I can work with you from the start and answer any questions you have when they come up. There is zero judgement, zero comparison and zero competition in yoga, so please listen to your body, tell me about anything that doesn’t feel right and if you need to lie down and rest at any point – go for it!

I’m advanced in yoga. Is this right for me?

Absolutely! Let’s have fun together and play around with some crazy yoga postures 🙂 Whatever your goals are, let’s do it!

I have an injury/ health condition. Can I still practice?

If you have health concerns or injuries, or you are pregnant, I always recommend consulting your doctor before attending any yoga class. But if you’ve been given the thumbs up by your doctor then I’d be happy to work with you! Please give me a heads up about your condition before working together so I can give you the support you need, and only do what you are comfortable with. Our bodies are our true teachers, listen to your body and honour its needs. Yoga is designed to heal and strengthen your body, so if you listen to your body you could start to feel better from the practice.

What if I don’t have my own yoga mat?

No yoga mat? No worries! You can rent one from me for $2. Just email me ahead of time at kaylaeliseyoga@gmail.com so I can ensure there are enough mats for everyone.

Why pay extra to do a private session when I could go to a class at my regular studio?

This is more than your typical yoga class. It is a personalized experience where we dive into your goals and help them come alive! You can practice yoga from the comfort of your own home with a teacher who will keep you accountable for your practice. Every class is personalized for your wants, needs and restrictions – I am fully committed to helping you become healthier and happier for a full 60 minutes 🙂

This all sounds great, but I don’t know if I have the time. Life is so busy!

Totally understandable! I know what it feels like to think there’s not enough time in a day to accomplish everything that needs to be done, and still have time to do all of the health and wellness practices you are told you “should” be doing. I would love for you to be able to make the time for one of these sessions, but I understand that that’s not always realistic. But you can still practice yoga – if you haven’t already, check out my blog and free yoga videos! There are some great yoga sequences over there that are short and you can do anywhere. I also offer yoga sessions on Zoom at a discounted rate, let me know if that suits your needs better. Also, make sure to get a copy of my free eBook, there are some great tips in there for you!

My Guarantee:

I want you to feel completely comfortable with your decision to work with me in order to further your yoga practice. So, if something comes up, rescheduling is open up until 8 hours before your session. I get it, life happens, so even though sales are final, you can feel comfortable knowing that you will not risk wasting your money when you sign up.
